The story

Booomtown has a neighbor problem

In Booomtown, the neighbors can't stand each other. Chef Don Nuggetto, witch Granny Gurgle and zombie Headbert settle their feud in the arena — each with their own specialty.

Nobody gets hurt. Just their hairdos.

How to play

Three rules. That's it.

  1. Drop it and run!

    Nugget bucket, potion or your own head: after 2.5 seconds it goes BOOM — in a cross, two tiles each way. Yours can catch you too.

    Clear the obstacles out of your way and grab power-ups: more at once, a longer reach, faster feet.

    Every hit costs a heart, and you've only got three. Cleared the whole arena? Then flames burst from the floor. Standing still is not an option.

Runs the greasiest diner in town and calls Granny Gurgle’s potions pure poison. When his bucket bursts, it rains nuggets, fries and ketchup.

Welcome to Booomtown

Three neighborhoods, one town — and each thinks it's the best. Every arena plays by the same rules but looks completely different.

Good to know

Do I need a game controller?

Not to play alone: against the computer, the Siri Remote is all you need. For a duel between two people, you need at least one game controller — the other player can use the Siri Remote.

Which controllers work?

Xbox Wireless controllers, PlayStation DualSense and DualShock 4, and MFi controllers.

How do I play with the Siri Remote?

Swipe on the clickpad or click its edge to walk; click the center or press Play/Pause to drop your specialty. A short tutorial shows you how the first time you play.

Is Booomtown suitable for kids?

Booomtown is rated 9+ on the App Store: cartoon explosions, no blood, nobody gets hurt. The rules make sense without reading.

Can I play online?

Not at the moment. Booomtown is made for sharing a couch: both players on one Apple TV.

When does Booomtown come out?

Soon. We're putting on the finishing touches.
